Bendegeit Mastiffs

While he got out for 3 shows and a Regional Specialty, 2025 was largely a ‘Stay home & grow up’ year for Edgar. Despite that, he is now only 7 points away from his Grand Championship! 
Edgar was also awarded Select Dog at the CMC Regional Specialty in June. 

Ed (as he's affectionately known), will be working on his “Smart Dog” titles in 2026, and may get out to a few conformation shows as well, to finish off his Grand Championship.

 At just over 10 months old, Edgar officially became a Canadian Champion, and is already well on the way to his Grand Championship!

Edgar is our keeper boy from the Alli x Jules litter we had at the end of December 2023. 

He wasn't supposed to stay, but as we watched him grow, and got closer to the time the rest of the litter was going home; it became harder & harder to imagine letting him go. I didn't want him to waste away on someone's couch, and at that time, there were no show homes stepping forward that I would've implicitly trusted. So he stayed. And I am ever so glad that he's part of our family! 

Edgar is a gentle, silly, and occasionally stubborn boy who embodies so many of the wonderful qualities we know we'll see when breeding with Jules. He is a lovely tank of a puppy, and his conformation is everything I was aiming for with this line breeding.

In the first 2 months of showing, Edgar has been awarded a Best Baby Puppy in Group, a Best Puppy in Group, and is ½ way to his Canadian Championship! He's been living a little under his sister Bambi's shadow, but I have no doubt that his time is quickly coming!
