Ben's Sire

Ben's sire was Am.Can.Int.Ch. Foxglove Classic Double-Take (Drake) - A very sweet, calm mastiff with absolutely no malice towards anyone or anything. Drake was great with everyone and everything, at ease with new situations and friendly with strangers and other dogs. Drake had a fantastic personality, wonderful expression, clean & classic head, dark eyes, scissor bite and great topline. He was a truly large, muscular, powerful & sound Mastiff with great reach & drive. Drake produced excellent offspring; passing along not only his gentle nature and fun, out-going temperament; but also his size & elegance, combined with powerful square chests, well-angulated fronts & rears, and great expressive heads.

  • Drake sired many champions, and was the son of Am.Ch. Eldorado Rebel W/Out a Pause, CD, TT, TDI, WD, CGC, HOF (Rebel) – a lovely, slow maturing dog with a fabulous temperament and both conformation & working titles to his name. Rebel was a Group winning & placing Mastiff and consistently produced champion quality puppies with large bone, great temperaments and level toplines. Rebel was the 3rd generation in his line to be temperament tested, and was an active therapy dog for many years!
  • Drake’s dam was Foxglove Classic Denial, CGC, HOF (Clover) – a big girl, who was very sound with terrific movement and a great topline. Clover lived to be a very old lady, but was always quite the character, and remained very youthful even into her advanced years. She was inducted into the MCOA Hall of Fame in 1998 for the number of champion offspring produced.

Ben's Dam

Ben's dam was Am.Can.Ch. Night Stalker's Enchantress, HOF (Tess) - Tess came to live with Laura & David as an adult due to her previous owner's divorce. Laura had handled & shown Tess to her American Championship, and describes her as a personal favourite of theirs (even though she wasn't out of their breeding); saying she was "... a really neat dog" who was "... super sweet, with a quiet, laid back & unassuming temperament". She goes on to affectionately say that Tess was "... a bit clueless – she was always a few steps behind whatever was going on... It was part of her charm and I wouldn’t have changed her a bit!" Tess was brought into Laura & David's huge pack of house dogs and got along really well with the others, fitting easily into the pack hierarchy. Tess had huge bone, a scissors bite, and was a very nicely built bitch who was incredibly sound in structure & movement. Tess was fully heath tested for her era and was healthy until she passed away as an old dog due to age related illness. Tess was also the dam of MBISS Am.Ch. Regal Hills Sudden Impact, HOF (Willie), a Multiple Best In Specialty Show, Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed winner & #1 Mastiff in the USA of his time. Willie was not only the grandfather of MBIS MBISS Am.Ch. Southport’s Sherman, HOF, he was also Ben’s 1/2 brother.

  • Tess’ dad was the incomparable Am.Ch. Burns Hall Zackery, HOF (Zack) - a strong, well balanced active dog who possessed great dignity, but could when the mood struck him, act like a giant clown! Zack produced many champions and Hall of Fame inductees, including BISS Am.Can.Ch. Matts Joshua Of Dogwood Knoll, HOF and Am.Ch. Night Stalker Sillers Clyde, HOF – Tess’ littermates.

  • Tess' dam Am.Ch. Night Stalker KD Brandybuck (KD) was a lovely girl with huge bone, a great head & a wonderful temperament. "KD" produced 2 HOF offspring from her first litter with "Zack" - Am.Ch. Night Stalker Sillers Clyde, HOF & of course Am.Can.Ch. Night Stalker Enchantress, HOF - Ben's dam.
